  • Outstanding Oxidation Resistance: Excellently resists scale formation and oxidation in continuous service at temperatures up to 1150°C (2100°F) and in intermittent service up to 1035°C (1900°F). This makes it ideal for use in furnace atmospheres.

  • Low Carbon Content (0.08% max): The reduced carbon content significantly lowers the risk of carbide precipitation during exposure to high temperatures, enhancing resistance to intergranular corrosion and extending service life.

  • Superior Corrosion Resistance: Offers excellent resistance to various corrosive atmospheres, particularly sulfidation, and performs well in many aqueous environments.

  • Formability and Weldability: The austenitic structure provides good ductility and formability. It can be readily welded using all standard techniques, making it versatile for fabricating complex components.
