Heat treatment method for 304 stainless steel plate hot-rolled stainless steel plate
2025-09-05 08:34:03

Annealing of 304 Stainless steel plate The heat treatment method of heating steel to a certain temperature and holding it at high temperature for a period of time, and then slowly cooling and aging it in the furnace, followed by medium temperature tempering, is called annealing. The microstructure obtained by annealing and low-temperature tempering is usually pearlite and ferrite. The purpose of annealing is to eliminate structural defects, improve the structure to homogenize the composition, refine the grain size, enhance the mechanical properties of steel, and reduce residual stress. Meanwhile, annealing can reduce hardness, improve plasticity and toughness, and enhance cutting performance. Annealing is a semi-finished heat treatment, also known as preliminary heat treatment, which aims to eliminate and improve the structural defects and internal stresses left by the previous process, as well as prepare for subsequent processes

The annealed wire is shown in the following picture

It is a soft steel wire product processed by low carbon steel cold drawing, heating, constant temperature and insulation processes. Annealing wire has different uses and compositions, including iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, carbon, zinc, and other components. Roll the hot metal billet into 6.5mm thick steel bars (i.e. coils),

Then put it into the wire drawing device and pull it into wires of different diameters, gradually reducing the aperture of the wire drawing disc, and performing cooling, annealing, coating and other processing techniques to produce various specifications of annealed wires.
