During the solid solution pickling process of Stainless steel strip, it is necessary to keep in mind the following operational points, as doing well in the following aspects can maximize the quality of treatment to meet the requirements.
Firstly, it is necessary to carefully verify the steel grade, specifications, and factory number of the stainless steel strip. Secondly, according to the different steel grades and specifications of the stainless steel strip, the temperature of the annealing furnace and the wire speed of the stainless steel strip can be adjusted accordingly. Within the process license range, the furnace temperature and linear speed can be adjusted appropriately based on the surface quality of the pickled stainless steel strip.
The third is to adjust the screw of the clamping roller in a timely manner during the processing to avoid the situation where the clamping roller slips and the speed is unstable. However, the pressure should not be too tight to prevent ensuring the surface of the stainless steel strip or causing accidents.
The fourth point is that when welding stainless steel strips together, the ends of the stainless steel strips must be cut evenly, and the end of the subsequent strip should be overlapped with the end of the previous strip, with an overlap length of about 80-100mm. When welding stainless steel strips, others are not allowed to drive without authorization.
The fifth is to control the ratio of gas and combustion air in the annealing furnace. The amount of remaining oxygen in the annealing furnace has a significant impact on the composition of the iron oxide scale, which in turn affects the surface pickling effect of the stainless steel strip.
In addition, during acid washing, the stainless steel strip must be completely immersed in the acid solution. According to the specific situation of the billet, the acid concentration and pickling speed should be controlled according to the process requirements, but it is also necessary to absolutely prevent stainless steel from being over pickled or under pickled.
Be sure to keep the stainless steel strip neat when winding. Due to the large deviation in the width of the raw material head and tail, the width of the inlet guide wheel should be adjusted in a timely manner during the winding process. The optimal distance between the guide wheels is 1-2mm greater than the width of the plate. If the distance is too large, the stainless steel strip is prone to deviation, while if the distance is too small, it is very easy to overturn the edge of the plate, causing the edge of the stainless steel strip to bend and deform, thereby affecting the quality of winding.
Finally, during the packaging and loading/unloading process of stainless steel coil products, attention should be paid to protecting the outer surface and avoiding collisions and surface contamination.
